Delete Your Handover Account

Handover lets you delete your account and all associated data at any time – in the app or without logging in.

In the app (fastest): Open Handover → Settings → Data & privacy → Delete account → confirm with your email. All data (profile, skills, messages, images, tips, phone) is hard-deleted immediately; backups purged on schedule.

Without logging in (external)

Email [email protected] (child safety: [email protected]) from your registered email with subject Delete my account. Include your account email. We verify ownership and delete within 7 days.

What is deleted

  • name, email, encrypted phone (Fernet – becomes unrecoverable), lat/lng/grid, profile image
  • skills, skill images, requests, chat messages, ratings, tips, blocks, reports, disclosure logs
  • Uploaded files under /uploads/

Retention

We retain no identifiable data after deletion unless law requires (e.g., fraud prevention logs, anonymized). See Privacy Policy §6 and §9 (EU Poland + Swiss backups). Controller: Handover Community, [email protected], Poland.
